Clockify’s biggest advantage is right there in the pricing: unlimited users on the free plan. Most competitors gate features at 2-3 people on free tier. Clockify lets your whole team use it, then you upgrade specific people to Pro later.
That approach makes sense for remote teams in their early days. You’re still figuring out your workflows, your tools, your team size. Clockify doesn’t force you to pay per seat immediately.
The free tier genuinely works for time tracking fundamentals: log hours, create projects, run basic reports. The UI is functional if uninspired. But for a 10-person team that just needs visibility into time spent? It gets the job done and costs you nothing.
